Job Description:
Job Responsibilities Foreman disciplines: Plumbing, Sheet metal and HVAC Supervises the work of journeyman, apprentices, and laborers. Plans, leads, organizes, controls, and performs plumbing, sheet metal and HVAC installations. Reviews blue prints, job specifications and estimates. Completes and maintains (in a timely manner) all required paperwork including but not limited to: Daily Logs, as-builts, time cards, submittal book, and scheduling. Schedules and oversees work projects, including reviewing shop drawings, work plans and cost estimates; and complies with all code requirements and inspections. Prioritizes and plans work activities to complete projects on time (according to General Contractor Master Schedules). Participates in project site meeting and final project post mortem/evaluation. Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following OSHA regulations, PMC, and General Contractor policies. Prepares work records and inventory of tools, equipment and materials. Assists in the development of field employee training to include proper safety standards and practices. Reviews all contract documents to assure completeness. Verify accuracy of as-builts. Provides support and supervision of apprentices Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements High School Diploma, completion of trade school or equivalent 2 to 4 years of supervisory experience over skilled trade workers or any combination of education and experience Valid CA Driver’s License with clean driving record Must pass pre-employment physical, background check and drug screen Ability, knowledge and skills to lead/manage a team of construction professionals Considerable knowledge of discipline maintenance and repair techniques, equipment, safety standards, methods and materials Ability to operate and maintain equipment and hand and power tools used in the plumbing, HVAC and sheet metal industries Ability and to read and understand instruction manuals, blueprints, plans, and specifications
