We can offer you a career path with continued education and opportunities for career advancement. Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Sarasota Warehouse Supervisor. Plan, direct, or coordinate transportation, storage, or distribution activities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable government laws or regulations. Coordinate the activities of warehouse & facilities. Hours: Must be available Monday – Saturday, 6:30am-6:00pm. May require extended hours as needed. The following tasks/responsibilities are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Each person is expected to help out in whatever duties are required to deliver a quality product on schedule. Tasks & Responsibilities - Operational: 1. Always use a Safety First (PAUSE) approach to all work. 2. Always use the proper safety clothing, tools and precautions before beginning any work assignments. 3. Provide a positive attitude at all times. 4. Monitor inventory levels and requisition or purchase supplies as needed. Adjust inventory levels to meet seasonal needs. 5. Perform activities associated with stocking, shipping, receiving, distribution, or transportation for all departments. 6. Responsible for the accuracy of material received into the warehouse. 7. Process inventory adjustments needed for spot checks & year-end inventory. 8. Facilitate year-end warehouse inventory. 9. Safety supplies – maintaining & monitoring inventory. 10. Maintains layout of stockrooms, warehouses, or other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, or related factors pertaining to items stored. 11. Maintains the Facilities, the upkeep of the building, and property. 12. Maintain warehouse safety, security programs and activities according to company guidelines. 13. Consult with managers or other personnel to resolve problem areas such as equipment performance, output quality, or work schedules. 14. Complete all maintenance paperwork and service related forms accurately (attention to detail). 15. Other duties as assigned. Relationship to others: The Warehouse Assoc. reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor in Sarasota and may work closely with other managers and with internal support staff. Optimally, over time the Warehouse Assoc. will have increased opportunity and assume increased responsibility for meeting department’s needs and expectations. It is therefore necessary that the Warehouse Assoc. maintain a satisfactory client relationship, relating to vendors, clients and fellow team members in a mature, thoughtful, professional and pleasant manner. Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. ? Judgment and Decision Making - Considers the relative costs, benefits, impact or consequences of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. Ability to make decisions in a timely manner. ? Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications - Proficient in MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook and the Internet Explorer. ? Dependability—the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance. Working Conditions: ? May require outside work in cold or hot weather; may require work in awkward or cramped positions and sometimes required to work in high places. ? Will require heavy work (lifting greater than 25 pounds). Education and Formal Training: ? High School diploma or GED required. ? Forklift Certification preferred. Experience: ? 2+ years Warehouse Experience & strong knowledge of the HVAC industry preferred. ? Familiar with OSHA requirements and PPE. Materials and Equipment Used: ?
