Job Description:
General areas of responsibility include bookkeeping for multiple branches, and providing backup for other functions within the team. Other responsibilities will include a wide range of accounting duties including, but not limited to, accounts receivables/payables, payroll, cash management, bank and account reconciliation and other duties as needed. Specific responsibilities include: Learn and properly utilize our industry specific software (ESC) Process all account payables (ensure compliance and approval) and check runs Process invoices billings and monitor collections, credit card processing Resolve vendor issues and payable discrepancies Assist with month end close including preparing journal entries and maintain account reconciliations Process weekly payroll for hourly employees and allocate/maintain records Prepare monthly bank reconciliations Update and maintain fixed asset system Perform other duties as assigned Prepare monthly reporting to Owner Assist with year-end tax reporting Requirements The ideal candidate is motivated for growth & advancement opportunities and has a minimum of an BA degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years of demonstrated success in bookkeeping/accounting. In addition, the candidate will possess the following: 40 - 50 hours weekly Must be detail oriented and able to perform multiple tasks as a team player Prior experience utilizing QuickBooks Ability to consistently produce highly accurate work with attention to detail a must Experience with Microsoft Office, networks and data backup procedures Desire and ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment Desire to create efficiencies and automate where necessary Ability to work independently; self-directed Excellent interpersonal and oral communications skills Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects without failure Personal Qualities The selected candidate will be a mature self-motivated professional able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Qualities of integrity, focus, teamwork and maturity are essential. Experience in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment handling multiple projects is essential to be successful in this role. This person must be capable of handling multiple projects requiring attention to detail and follow through to completion. The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing is important and must also have strong analytical and organizational skills.
