Job Description:
Purpose: We are seeking an experienced HVAC/R Hardware Technician which has experience in the Supermarket and Commercial industry to join our Gainesville team. Our office is in Gainesville and we are needing Hardware Technicians who live in Gainesville or Ocala. You will install and change hardware on cases and walk-in coolers/freezers, diagnose problems and repair refrigeration units, and assist other skilled trades as required to ensure that the customer’s needs are met efficiently and accurately. Essential Duties: • Perform all aspects of replacing case items such as: evaporator coils, end panels and protectors, honeycomb, tag molding, wire racks, deck pans, shelves, return air grills, front glass doors, rear sliding doors, glass thermal pane, reach in glass doors, and reach in glass door gaskets • Perform all aspects of replacing walk-in items such as: door plugs, buck door assemblies, thru-bolt separated doors, door gaskets, door hinges and handles, recessed push knob cups and protectors, roller assemblies and tracks, door stoppers and jambs, freezer door jamb heaters, and door flaps. • Perform all aspects of replacing self-contained cases items such as: prep table door gaskets, prep table door hinges, and caster wheels. • Be available to respond to emergency situations during or after hours, for the purposes of resolving immediate safety concerns or major refrigeration issues. Requirements while on the job: • Be prompt and dependable with good punctuality • Maintain a positive attitude toward customers and the job itself • Maintain a good working relationship with fellow employees • Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects/work orders efficiently, while providing proper information for parts ordering • Maintain tools and, or equipment to ensure the safe working order of the equipment • Perform basic math including calculations using fractions, percentages, and, or ratios • Satisfactorily perform the functions of the job, which include: indoor air monitoring equipment, standards for design and construction, air condition and heating codes, and hazards and safety precautions
