Job Description:
The Service Manager will be responsible for all aspects of service within his/her service area. Responsibilities included but not limited to training, motivating & inspiring all service technicians, managing safety programs, inventory counts, job budgets, and overall profitability. Qualifications: • Associates Degree in business • EPA Universal Certified. • Valid driver’s license. • 10 years’ service experience specific to commercial, institutional, and industrial HVAC. • Well-versed in the use of Freon 22, 227A, 404, 408, 409, HP80 and 81, 134, and 12 as well as proper refrigerant recovery procedures. • Refrigeration experience such as: ice machines, walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, & rack systems. • Must have previous work experience within a hospital or health care area is required. • Strong knowledge of HVAC, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. • Knowledge of basic electricity and electrical and control systems. • Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics. • Physically able to climb ladders and to lift objects up to fifty pounds. Job Specifications: * Managing/overseeing training all programs * Train & utilize all Field Supervisors to achieve high level of work standards * Inventory/warehouse counts completed approx. every 90 days * Track via software age & condition of all customer equipment * Assure & assist technicians with estimate(s), submitted to customers in a timely manner and seek written job approval. * Assist Salesmen with sales opportunities * Ongoing awareness of customers account balances via bookkeepers weekly reports. * Order all parts, tools, and supplies for your assigned area via PO process * Oversee all vehicle maintenance & repairs, speeding and/or driving issues. * Oversee and address all appearance and uniform needs * Participate in dispatch on-call rotation (approx.) every six weeks Additional Skills Desired: • Successful completion of a trade/vocational school.
