Job Description:
An HVAC Installer will be responsible for the installation of HVAC units, including electronic and mechanical components. Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed): • Candidate must be able to understand all aspects of the install and can complete the job, installer, maintenance worker, or repairman • installation of HVAC ductwork, including flexible tubing and sheet metal construction • Installation or repair of fuel and water lines; conservation, installation and recycling of CFC or HCFC refrigerants • Installation or repair of electrical connections to HVAC components • Installation or repair to low voltage control wiring and thermostats. • Will be responsible for entering all information into the system. • Able to troubleshoot a problem if one occurs during an install. • Able to figure out how to get the system installed if there are complications. • Able to spot curbs for a new cut in on a roof or wall. • Able to read blue prints for a renovation with new ductwork and spotting equipment. • Must be able to work well with others. • Make sure that all equipment is running and operating properly. • Responsible for making sure that the company vehicle is clean at all times (inside and out) • Responsible for the inventory in vehicle. • May be required to work some weekends and nights and have reliable transportation and a good driving record. • All employees are required to wear company logo uniforms while in the office and on the job site. (Button up and collier shirts) • Be neat in appearance at all times Addional compensation: Commission Bonuses Paid Weekly • Applicants must have at least a High School Diploma or GED • 2-5 years plus HVAC experience required • Passed the U.S. Environmental Agency 608 certificate exam • Pass drug and MVR screening • Must have a valid GA drivers permit/ license • Preferred completion of training courses in the NATE or HVAC Excellence Service Core Program. • Must have personal tools for the task of the jobs being performed. (Drill, nut drivers, screw drivers, volt meter, sheet metal tools, etc.) Technical Competencies: • Basic understanding of math, reading, and writing is required Competencies Required: • Good communication skills (verbal communication, listening, and written communication) • Ability to provide quality customer service • Ability to work under stressful conditions • Ability to pay close attention to detail while multi-tasking • Functional/Technical Skills • Integrity and Trust Physical Demand: • Must be able to work in extreme weather and climate conditions (hot attics, year-round outdoor conditions, etc.); • Must be able to stand, crawl, bend, stoop, kneel or climb repeatedly (up to 25 times an hour), or for long periods of time (four up to two hours); • Must be able to lift or carry up to 75 pounds unassisted, and lift above shoulder level; • Must be able to work in tight, poorly lit and cramped conditions; • Must be able to climb ladders and occasionally work at height; • Must be able to execute all of the above functions and meet all of the above demands safely, posing no threat to themselves or those around them while doing so, and must willingly comply with applicable safety regulations in the completion of all work.
