Job Description:
Qualifications: o Minimum 5 years overall commercial HVAC service experience. o Minimum 5 years commercial HVAC field experience. o Prior knowledge of service operations logistics: receiving service calls, executing service calls, pricing repairs, efficient communication of instruction and data between office and service technician. o Use and exposure to dispatching, billing and records management software. o Limited actual office experience. o Ability to manage service technicians. o Organized. o Universal EPA card. o Ability to sell maintenance agreements, service recommendations and replacement systems customers. o Professional demeanor, attitude and work habits. o State of GA Conditioned Air Contractors License or willingness to pursue. Responsibilities: o Report directly to the Service Manager. o Supervise the field operations of the service department. o Work closely with Dispatcher(Service Administrator-SA); including input for scheduling daily service labor. o Meet with the Service Manager(SM) weekly to discuss project priorities and goals for the upcoming week. o Maintain a flexible schedule and mindset to satisfy the ever-changing needs and priorities of the service department for the betterment of the company. o Manage all Service Recommendations including being responsible for making sure they get turned around in a timely manner, gathering information to complete proposal and drafting proposals for the approval from SM. o Coordinate with the customer directly; including setting up for future work, explaining proposals, obtaining proposal approvals. o Assist with installation and service field operations when needed. Be willing, able and ready to leave the office as needed. o Provide technical assistance for all field personnel either from experience or by obtaining information to pass along. o Manage all aspects of the Maintenance Agreement program; including pricing new proposals, sales, renewals and pursuing new customers. o Work with SM and GM concerning all replacement leads, sales, projects and gathering of information. o Manage “On Call” program for after-hours service response. o Manage inventory and truck stocking procedure; specifically filters and refrigerant. o Responsible for keeping service warehouse in order. o Pursue continuing education opportunities. o Strive daily to build a teamwork environment throughout the company and the Service Department. o Be available to help in any capacity for the betterment of the company.
