Job Description:
JWS Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Ltd. is Guam’s industry leader in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration and Commercial Food Service Equipment parts, sales and service and is looking for skilled, enthusiastic and experienced HVAC Service Manager to support our year round tropical paradise operation. The Service Manager leads a team of service technicians who install, repair and maintain air conditioning, refrigeration systems, and commercial food service/kitchen equipment. This position will coordinate with project managers, and other company managers to prioritize and support multiple projects and make effective decisions. This position will also communicate with employees and customers with the goal of completing quality work, on time and within budget, and maintaining customer satisfaction. The Service Manager will report to the President & CEO. RESPONSIBILITIES /DUTIES • Responsible for overseeing the coordination, scheduling and managing of personnel for service calls including sales installations, service, and maintenance calls. • Ensure accountability of service techs and billing, to include profitability of service department. • Responsible for the oversight, management, recruitment, training, performance reviews and disciplinary procedures of service personnel. • Makes recommendations for improving and facilitating the job of the service team. • Work closely with field technicians and provides technical assistance to meet customer requirement. • Maintaining and updating training manuals for the maintenance team. • Comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations. • Ensure employees acquire necessary certifications. • Ensure peak operational and budgetary efficiency is maintained. • Work with sales and management team to understand and market to potential new customers. • Manage appropriate department records and regularly monitor expenditures. • Manage the receipt, distribution and warehousing of spare parts. • Review bids and estimates for accuracy. • Work closely with sales department to deliver on time quotes and service obligations. • Participate in the development of operating goals and objectives for the company, recommend, implement and administer methods and procedures to enhance operations including perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Requirements include a trade (refrigeration/Electrical/Mechanical) or engineering background, a minimum of 4 years experience in service industry management: HVAC, refrigeration, and commercial kitchen equipment preferred, previous experience managing field technicians, excellent problem-solving skills in planning and management.
