Job Description:
KEY COMPETENCIES: - Above average understanding of installation and service of refrigeration, water and steam piping systems. - Above average knowledge and understanding of entire HVAC system, including equipment, ductwork, piping, basic electrical and controls. - Ability to manage and supervise technicians. - Ability to project manage construction projects. - Understanding of required permits. - Understanding of construction industry and other trades. - Ability to read, interpret and execute plans and specifications. - Working knowledge of and proper application of hand and power tools. - Ability to safely operate a company vehicle. - Physical ability to perform construction work (i.e. working on ladders, lifting, moving equipment etc…), when required. QUALIFICATIONS: - Current Refrigeration license in states where we do business (MA, RI and NH). Contractor’s license is desired. - Universal license for reclaim. - Current drivers license and clean driving record. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Prior industry experience. KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Coordinate project manage and execute construction projects in accordance with plans, specifications, design build write up and direction from sales department. - Coordinate and schedule construction technicians on a daily basis to most effectively use their time and technician ability to execute construction projects at or under budget levels. - Responsible for ownership of project from turnover from sales department to completion of project, including, interacting with customer on a regular basis to maintain construction schedule and meet customers requirements. - Responsible to manage and oversee construction technicians and apprentices in accordance with company policy. - Coordinate, schedule and oversee L.C. Anderson subcontractors on site to insure that subcontractor work is performed per specification in a timely, proficient manner. - Coordinate and directly supervise L.C. Anderson technicians on site to insure that work is performed per specification in a timely, proficient manner. - Work well with other L.C. Anderson employees, L.C. Anderson subcontractors, customer (i.e. General Contractor or End User) and other trades on project. - Flexibility and ability to adapt to each unique project or situation. - Flexibility and ability to work outside of standard working hours, when required by project, rigger, project schedule or work backlog. - Complete required paperwork correctly, legible and on time. (CVS renovations require store stamp and managers signature). - Supervise Completion of stock list for projects prior to commencement of work, when required. - Responsible for company issued tools and property and return thereof upon completion of use. - Responsible for company vehicle (if issued), its safe operation and ensuring that it is operated in strict accordance with company policy (i.e. operated by authorized company employees only). - Assist in sales department in estimating new work and support on application and installation of equipment. - Perform any other task which may be required, as directed by Vice President of Construction. - Make sure all work is done in a professional manner, neat, clean, timely and meeting customer needs with as little inconvenience as possible to the customer. - Assist other departments when required, or when construction is slow. - Responsible for expanding the expertise of department via training and schooling. - In the event of an unresolved conflict on a project, involve salesperson for a decision. - Adapt manpower and schedule to accommodate customer’s schedule and requirements. - Overall, provide professional, courteous service where customer feels he received quality service for money spent and will be a repeat customer.
