Job Description:
Operations Manager Position Contract The Operations Manager must be able to effectively work with customers, vendors and the company staff. The Operations Manager may be the first point of contact with customers and handle customer complaints and therefore must display a positive image of the company. The Operations Manager must be cleanly dressed in a professional manner. The Operations Manager serves as manager of the install and service staff. The position must therefore be able to effectively supervise employees dealing with performance issues and rewarding and encouraging good performance. The Operations Manager must have a strong background in HVAC providing technical assistance to the install and service staff. The location of Operation is the greater Syracuse, NY area. Dress Code: • Dress slacks or dark jeans • Company shirt • Belt • Dark colored shoes • Conservative professional look Grooming Requirements: • Must comply with company grooming standards Oversee and manage Installers: • Oversee daily installation schedules • Installer vacation schedule • Installer reviews • Review of all start up sheets, quality control forms and installation documents • Review of customer concerns and complaints • Provide technical support for Installers in the field • Facilitate weekly installation meetings • Installation development and training. • Identify performance deficiencies and develop a plan to correct deficiencies • Plan a development path for each Installer and an annual training plan • Review quality audits on installations • Review job layouts for compliance with industry standards Oversee and manage Dispatcher: • Dispatcher vacation scheduling • Dispatcher performance review • Setting Dispatcher goals • Oversee daily dispatching scheduling Oversee and manage Service Specialist: • Service Specialist (SS) vacation scheduling • SS performance review • Setting SS goals • Setting work schedule • Assign install job responsibility • Review quality audits Oversee and manage Service Technicians: • Technician vacation schedule • Technician reviews • Daily review of service tickets and invoices • Review of customer concerns and complaints • Provide technical support for Service Technicians in the field • Facilitate weekly Technician meetings • Manage Service Technician performance numbers and metrics. • Technician development and training. • Identify performance deficiencies and develop a plan to correct deficiencies • Plan a development path for each technician and an annual training plan Oversee and manage the warehouse: • Maintain shop and parts room housekeeping/organization • Oversee and manage inventory of parts, supplies, and equipment • Maintaining Service Technician vehicle inventory • Schedule staging and pulling installation jobs • Perform weekly inventory checks • Maintain Installation trucks inventory General Responsibilities: • Maintain Freon certification • Maintain NATE Heat Pump Service certification • Daily monitor time cards for accuracy • Maintain training requirements for field personnel • Recruiting and training of install staff • Provide safety and technical training • Attend offsite training with install and service staff as necessary Schedule Typical Monday – Friday 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM Must be able to pass a Background Check Must be able to pass a Drug Screening Test
