Job Description:
We looking for a skilled Manager to plan, direct, and oversee the service residential and light commercial plumbing department. A proven track record and prior Operations or Service Management experience in the Construction or Service industry is a must. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supervise and delegate service employees, which includes involvement in hiring decisions, coordinating employee schedules, conducting staff meetings, training employees, evaluating performance, and supervising work assignments. Coach and motivate technicians to work at their maximum productivity; coach, train and develop technicians to increase work and sales skills. Provide technical support to the field via radio, telephone, and/or at job sites. Review and audit technician paperwork daily; ensure that all equipment is in proper operating condition, to include maintaining a high-quality appearance of vans and equipment. Oversee the dispatch function for our Plumbing Service Technicians to ensure the appropriate technician is selected based on customer needs. Oversee a budget as well as P&L responsibilities Duties and responsibilities include securing new business, formulating policies, and managing daily operations. Resolve customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction. QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold active plumbing license (Master's license preferred but not required) Successful candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of residential plumbing new construction experience 4-6 years management experience. Strong knowledge with accounting and money management Understanding of how to develop and implement business strategies. Possess superior leadership skills, work well with a team and have the ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Ideal candidate will have superior decision-making skills, problem-solving skills, and conflict management abilities. Able to work will all levels of management and have superior training and delegation abilities. Familiarity with competitive HVAC and plumbing product advantages and disadvantages.
