Job Description:
The Service Manager will oversee all aspects of managing the service technicians as well as manage the maintenance base and maintain customer retention. A solid candidate will be able to leverage existing HVAC Service management experience in a small business environment where intelligence, people skills, and cost consciousness are critical. This role will require the candidate to have a positive change within the company immediately. Key Responsibilities: • Manage day-to-day operational decision making within a fast-growing small business • Understanding and reporting on key metrics and their impact on the business • Effectively control costs • Team player with successful history of leading and building teams with direct responsibility for hiring/terminating employees • Proven implementation and execution abilities, and the ability to take ownership of key decision processes • Sound strategic planning skills • Perform technician ride along for training Qualifications include: • At least 5 years of operational leadership experience directing service staff and personal knowledge of HVAC experience is a must! • Exposure to managing a service business and/or employees working outside of the office • Stable work history with ability to provide references • Ability to pass drug and background check Personal Attributes • Intelligence – possesses raw intellect and ability to think outside the box • Enthusiastic – Must pose enthusiasm towards team members as well as our customers • Decisive – track record of making and implementing sound strategic decisions based on a mixture of analysis, experience and judgment • Entrepreneurial – must be a self-starter and have the ability to identify and implement initiatives that are well-aligned with the company’s strategic plan • Results Oriented – links decisions to overall business objectives and strategies to improve service goals
