Job Description:
Weather Crafters an ARS company is seeking qualified Residential HVAC Service Technicians. Description: Applies advance level of technical skills and knowledge to troubleshoot, install, maintain and repair ventilation, heating and air conditioning systems used in commercial, industrial and/or residential settings. Maintains good customer relations by responding to customer service needs and providing solutions for better efficiency and performance. Provides training and technical guidance to lower level HVAC Service Technicians. ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS (in coordination with technical training modules, not all-inclusive): ? Understand procedures required to charge residential air conditioning systems using the superheat/sub-cooling calculator ? The different types of economizers and their operation, including the functions of their motors, dampers and controls, techniques and procedures for troubleshooting economizers ? The total process of measuring, adjusting and documenting the performance of the air conditioning system so as to meet the design ? Troubleshoot packaged rooftop units, residential cooling systems, furnaces, heat pumps, ? The major components of the two-speed compressor and the electrical operating sequence, including special service techniques and unique installation requirements ? Understand and troubleshoot electronic controls and variable speed motors. MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred as well as a minimum of two (2) years of electrical/HVAC service training or completion of an approved training program. Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of related HVAC service experience in addition to training. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. EPA certification and an advance knowledge of electrical and gas diagnostics and air flow are required. A valid driver’s license and good communications/human relations skills are required.
