Job Description:
Temperature Systems is a HVAC wholesaler who is looking for an energetic, motivated, and knowledgeable person to join our team by performing in a pricing analyst role. SCOPE OF POSITION: Reporting directly to the CFO, provides overall direction, coordination, and maintenance of pricing strategy and product price records for TSI. Also the in-house expert on generating various reports from software systems. BASIC FUNCTION: Working with the sales team, provides the day-to-day coordination of our pricing strategy ensuring our profit margins are being optimized. Ensures price records and Carrier rebates are accurate and up to date within computer system. Works with all departments assisting and educating others on how to generate needed reports. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Creates, monitors and updates price records within company software. 2. Works with the sales managers and sales team to determine optimal pricing for all products. 3. Gathers and analyzes market data and competitor pricing to determine TSI pricing to maximize gross margin. 4. Reviews and evaluates price overrides investigating why they occurred and determines the proper response. 5. Works with purchasing on all vendor price increases and ensures the proper pricing adjustments are reflected in system. 6. Works with marketing in setting prices for special promotions. 7. Learns and understands P2 pricing methods, eventually replacing the need for outside pricing software. 8. Monitors and creates various internal reports and trains fellow employees on how to generate reports on their own. 9. Uploads and / or enters Carrier pricing and rebate files into computer system. 10. Reconciles and resubmits errors on daily rebate report from Carrier. 11. Promotes and maintains a flexible cooperative, positive, team oriented attitude with and between departments. 12. Ensures timely, accurate, proper records, files, databases, etc. are developed and maintained for assigned areas of responsibility. 13. Performs other duties as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS: 1. Two or four year degree in business relate field, or equivalent experience, with 3 plus years of experience working in a pricing role. 2. Excellent analytical skills with strong knowledge of data analysis and BI tools including Excel. 3. Able to work with and present to multiple departments including sales, purchasing and senior management. 4. Able to work effectively and positively within a fast paced and changing environment while maintaining a positive service and employee oriented attitude. 5. Excellent organization, problem solving, team building, and follow through skills. 6. Self starter with strong attention to detail. 7. Experience in distribution and / or Sx Infor software a plus.
