The objective of this HVAC training program is to prepare the graduate with the theory and working knowledge of heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, high pressure steam, energy management, and commercial environmental systems, in order to secure an entry-level position in the industry as a maintenance or service technician. Graduates of this HVAC program should possess the skills for residential and commercial employment.

The MTI HVAC/R program consists of four (4) nine (9) week modules that include HVAC Excellence certifications, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification, and basic training for installation and repair of major appliances

According to the U.S. D.O.L., Employment of heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration mechanics and installers is expected to grow 34 percent from 2010 to 2020. Job opportunities for HVACR technicians are expected to be excellent for those who have completed training at an accredited tech school.
