Job Description:
HVAC and Refrigeration technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC and Refrigeration systems commonly installed in commercial applications. Qualifications: • High School Diploma/Equivalent. • EPA Universal Certified. • Valid driver’s license. • 5 years’ service experience in commercial, institutional, and industrial HVAC. • Well-versed in the use of Freon 22, 404, 408, 409, HP80 and 81, 134, and 12 as well as proper refrigerant recovery procedures. • Refrigeration experience such as: ice machines, walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, & rack systems. • Must have previous work experience within a hospital or health care area is required. • Strong knowledge of HVAC, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. • Knowledge of basic electricity and electrical and control systems. • Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics. • Physically able to climb ladders and to lift objects up to fifty pounds. Job Duties: • Build strong customer relationships; build knowledge and understanding of new and existing customer needs/expectations. • Repairs refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, control systems, and humidity and temperature control systems. • Working knowledge of Energy Management Systems (EMS). • Troubleshoot and repair all electrical and mechanical components of HVAC equipment. • Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairing of commercial/ industrial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems. Additional Skills Desired: • Successful completion of a trade/vocational school.
