Job Description:
Title: HVAC Technician Company Description: A leading provider of HVAC/R, Electrical and Plumbing solutions for multi-site commercial and retail facilities nationwide seeks an Area Manager in Monmouth County, NJ. Primary Responsibility Provide HVAC services with specific responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs; installing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading HVAC systems and equipment; assisting other skilled trades; and ensuring that tools and materials are available at job site. Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to: · Coordinate with assigned Field Team Leader and/or other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently · Diagnose causes of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs · Fabricate equipment parts for the purpose of meeting specialty needs and/or replacing unavailable parts · Inform personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with building and safety regulations · Inspect HVAC systems and their components (e.g. heating units, building exhaust fans, air conditioning units, etc.) for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance · Install heating and air conditioning equipment and systems for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded capabilities · Maintain vehicle, tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition · Participate in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars, as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions · Perform routine and preventive maintenance as needed for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of HVAC systems · Prepare written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, quote forms, inspection reports, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information · Repair heating and air conditioning systems and/or components (e.g. pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring customer satisfaction · Request equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and/or repair · Respond to emergency service calls during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate concerns · Transport a variety of tools, equipment, and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site Location: Monmoth County, NJ, Staten Island, NY & Long Island, NY Qualifications: • Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet all required physical ability, efforts, and exertions to perform job duties • Possess or secure an EPA refrigerant certificate within company guidelines • Experience with commercial air conditioning systems • Ability to work in outdoor weather and temperature extremes designated by company policy • Refrigerant Certification and any/all other occupational licenses required to legally performing trade duties • Minimum 2 years’ experience in HVAC Commercial Industry • High School Diploma/GED • Trade school certification • Experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of building mechanical systems • Ability and strong desire to continue relevant education
