Job Description:
Seeking experienced HVAC and Refrigeration Technician for for Commercial Food Facility. Hours will be mostly Mon-Fri daytime. This position is responsible for performing various skilled and semi-skilled duties in the repair and maintenance of HVAC, Refrigeration and other building systems. Responsibilities include: - HVAC and Refrigeration Preventative Maintenance Program Execution - Repairs as Needed - Management of 3rd Party Vendors - Coordination with Other On-Site Team Members and Personnel - Coordinate with Tenants on As-Needed Basis - Monitor Other Building Systems and Assist with Repairs as Needed - Visibly Demonstrate Commitment to Safety - Perform Other Facility Tasks as Requested by Operations Director About the Company PREP's kitchen facilities and culinary community (https://bizj.us/1q8off) are designed to power and accelerate local food businesses. We are the largest provider of multi-user culinary production space in the South and have helped to launch over 800 culinary businesses including caterers, bakers, consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies, beverage producers, food trucks, food carts, test kitchens, delivery-only ‘ghost’ restaurants, meal kit companies, central commissary operators, private chefs, prepared meals companies, and more. We are looking for an experienced full-time HVAC and Refrigeration maintenance person. We will only consider a candidate who is a self-starter & who has had prior maintenance experience. Being detail-oriented, highly communicative, and having the ability to multitask are crucial for success in this role. Benefits Working at PREP has a number of great benefits, including: - Small, collaborative and fun work environment - Working hand-in-hand with some of the best food and beverage producers in the area - Lots and lots of amazing food tasting opportunities - Access to health care benefits and opportunities for growth in the organization Requirements · You must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma/GED, and previous experience in HVAC, Refrigeration and/or building building maintenance. · Able to climb ladders, climb stairs, crawl and crouch in access areas, attics, under sinks, etc. · Able to install, diagnose, repair, or replace the following: HVAC Systems, Refrigeration Systems, general building and facility systems items such as drywall, roofing, gutters, siding, disposals, smoke detectors, doors, locks, fences, appliances, etc. · Thrives in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. · Completes necessary paperwork and online service requests as required. · Willing to work overtime as needed and be on-call for emergencies. You would rotate being on call with other members of the maintenance team. · Interface with service vendors, inspectors & members. · Report to property manager or Operations Director for issues or directives. · Respond to work orders and provide assessment of needed repairs/work to property manager. · Maintain, clean and properly store all property equipment and tools. · Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and a hard work ethic · Light repairs · Enjoys being on your feet and moving around · Reliable, friendly, and detail oriented. · Work with a positive and friendly attitude · Efficiently perform assigned projects · Pay attention to detail · Be on time and ready to work Job Type: Full-time Salary: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour Bonus: Quarterly discretionary Benefits: Health insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Ability to commute to Houston, TX 77082 English Required; Spanish a Plus
